About me.
Hi, my name is Mick (Micka) Ward, I am the head coach/owner of Kuvx Health & Fitness.
I am 57 years of age and have 2 grown daughters and 4 grandchildren.
When and what started my fitness journey?
Most people think I have always been fit and healthy.
As a kid, I loved to be involved in sports at school, played a bit of aussie rules footy and was a pretty good runner. When I left school, I did the usual aussie thing, hung with mates, loves cars, girls and beer. At 22 years of age I did Tae kwon do for a year or so to get fit and give me confidence. In ‘86/’87 I travelled around Oz on a motorbike and boozed and partied alot,
Upon settling down in Qld, I worked as a Bakery Manager for woolies and socialised quite alot. I really loved catching up with friends and boozing on. In 1991 and 1995 my 2 gorgeous girls were born. I loved being their dad and still so.
I realised that my lifetstyle was starting to get out of control with the alcohol and a bad diet. I had chest pains and was overstressed from work. Things had to change, if I wanted to be around for my girls. I started by getting back into Tae Kwon Do for fitness and to try and burn off any bad calories I was consuming. I even dragged my girls along to motivate them too. 7 years later, I had achieved 3rd Dan Black belt and was instructing as well. I loved beening fit and inspiring others. I was confident.
But I still had a bad diet and guzzled beer daily.
Things still had to change.
I considered myself a mild alcoholic. I tried a few things with food, cutting carbs, no dairy, but still boozing. Even when I did the “liver cleansing diet”, I still drank daily. I figured if I could eat well and exercise heaps, I could still down copious amounts of alcohol.
In 2010, I decided to do a PT course to learn more about exercise and nutrition. It was my turning point, it was what I had been looking for to get my life on track. The following year I quit my job in the bakery with woolies after 18 years and threw myself into a fitness career to inspire and help others.
I met others that inspired me, such as Ben O’Connor, who took me under his wing and taught me so much. I completed level 1 & 2 with Metabolic Precision to further my knowledge about nutrition and exercise and how to get the best results for your body. Besides working at a gym, I did group training outside the gym and eventually opened up my own bootcamp group fitness business in Helensvale. Kuvx Health & Fitness.
This is me, this is what I needed, this is what changed me.
My Why?
Life is my why!
I want to live a happy and healthy life, be there for my girls and watch my grandkids grow.
I have travelled overseas recently and am keen to do more travelling. I need to be fit and healthy to enjoy all of this.
I don’t want to be an old man riddled with injuries and illnesses.
I want to be young forever!
I still am!!
What drives me?
Results drive me and inspire me.
I love seeing improvements in my body and how it changes to exercise and diet.
I want this for all my clients.
The future
Keep doing what I’m doing, helping and inspiring others. It gives me such a buzz.
The best satisfaction in life is to help someone else improve.
Also I want to make KUVX a well known brand name.
What does KUVX mean?
This explains KUVX using a modern astronumerology calculator for KUVX. The lucky life path number deduced from the numerology of KUVX below, does not indicate what you are or what KUVX entails when KUVX represents a person’s name. It provides an encouragement to push yourself to your limits and attain the best of results.
